PT-30
Connectivity: Uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to connect to your phone or tablet. It does not require a separate cellular data plan for the device itself.
9 Pin Cable
The 9-pin cable for the PT-30 is the most common adapter used for heavy-duty commercial trucks (Class 7 and 8).
16-PIN OBD2 Heavy-Duty Cable
Heavy-Duty (Volvo/Mack): These trucks send engine data (odometer, VIN, engine hours) on specific pins that a standard car scanner or "Light Duty" ELD cable cannot read.
6 Pin Cable
The 6-pin cable for the PT-30 ELD is designed for older heavy-duty trucks (typically manufactured between 1996 and 2006).
14-PIN, Heavy-Duty Cable
While most trucks still have a 9-pin port, manufacturers are moving toward the RP1226 to allow multiple devices (like ELDs and Dashcams) to share engine data without interfering with one another.
16-PIN OBD2 Light/Medium
For the PT-30, the 16-PIN OBD2 Light/Medium-Duty Cable is the standard connector for non-heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Year Range: Generally all model years 2008 and newer.
